Dec 2023: EWN Holiday Networking Event featuring Jessica Karpinske/Chair Yoga

EWN Holiday Networking Event:

Join us for an exciting and festive EWN Holiday Networking Event where you can connect with other women, enjoy treats, play fun games, and win prizes. Be sure to wear your ugly (or cute) holiday attire or most jingly jewelry to get into the holiday spirit! 

When you arrive, you will receive a card for "Find the Guest" Holiday Bingo - a fun game to connect with other attendees. Get 5 in a row and win a prize! Also, stop by the Hot Chocolate Station with Cookies provided by our Dessert Sponsor, Rooted in Wellness.

Next, we will enjoy a 10-minute chair yoga session led by Jessica Karpinske of Rooted in Wellness. She will take us through a short session of chair yoga poses designed for relaxation and releasing tension. We will be doing simple stretches, movements, and breathing that go a long way to improve our mental and physical health.

After we are all relaxed, we will open several stations where you can build new connections and celebrate the holiday season with other area women. We have planned an array of activities to keep you engaged throughout the event:

• Table Talks - if you bring a meal or snack, start here to eat and chat with other attendees.
• Craft Table where you can create either a wreath or snowflake ornament to keep or gift - all materials provided!
• Construct a Snowman Activity - we'll provide marshmallows, pretzels, and candy add-ons, and you bring your imagination!
• Write a holiday card for a local soldier or veteran sponsored by the American Red Cross.

So, bring your holiday spirit and join us for a memorable and fun-filled event. We can't wait to see you there!

It's Back! Join us as we renew our DECEMBER Diaper Drive

For those of you who have been with the Empowered Network (or the Professional Women's Network) for a while, you may remember that each December, we participated in a diaper drive to support the LSS Crisis Nursery in Duluth. When Covid hit, we put it on hold, but it was always a cause near and dear to our hearts. 

We are excited to renew the cause in 2023 with our DECEMBER DIAPER DRIVE. Please bring a package of Size 4-5-6 Diapers, Pull-ups, or Wipes to our December Meeting, and get an extra entry into our raffle prize drawing. About Our Presenter:

Jessica Karpinske is the owner of Rooted In Wellness, a health coaching and personal training business in the Twin Ports. Her focus is on working with women in their 40s-60s to improve physical and mental wellness through healthy eating, sustainable exercise, and feeling empowered and confident in their bodies again. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, traveling, writing, and being creative in a variety of ways. Jessica's goal is to live a simple life and spend her time doing things that bring her joy and a sense of inner peace. Her passion is creating a lifestyle that is healthy, loving, and focused on listening to the true needs of her body and aligning with nature. She loves sharing this knowledge and her experiences with friends, family, and in the work she does.

MEAL SERVICE: Our venue allows us to bring in outside food, so we invite you to BYOL - Bring Your Own Lunch! Coffee and water will be available. If desired, you may bring your own food and beverage, such as a bagged lunch or take-out meal. Dessert will be provided for all by our December Dessert Sponsor.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: There will be "Announcement" forms on the tables that you can fill out and give to your table host. After the speaker is done, there will be time for you to share all announcements with the group. MEMBERSHIP: We are updating our membership terms to make it easier for all to track and maintain. Purchase a one-year ($40) or recurring membership ($35/year) on any date, and it will be good for one year from that date.
