ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
Empowered Women’s Network is a non-profit organization that hosts monthly lunches September-May for women to connect with each other. Our mission is to connect & empower women in life & business through a positive, informal, and encouraging networking group.
MEETINGS: Meetings are held on the second Friday of each month September through May, with no meetings during the months of June, July, and August.
The Story of PWN & EWN
In 1993, Elaine Hansen and Jean Sumner had a vision for a group where professional business women could gather and network with each other. They started meeting regularly, each bringing a friend, then friends brought friends, etc., and the Professional Women's Network (PWN) was established. Members of PWN experienced the power of women connecting, encouraging, and supporting each other for many years under the leadership of Jean and Elaine. In 2017 the PWN leadership decided to step away and dissolve the network.

Many PWN members missed the uplifting monthly meetings. A small group of women decided there needed something new to fill the void left by PWN ending. These women, the founding members of Empowered Women's Network, created a brand new networking group for women by women. The first Empowered Women's Network (EWN) meeting occurred in January 2018.
